  • Several new and updated documentation pages [API_Migration]

The NeOn Toolkit Code Sprint aims at facilitating the porting of plugins to the new NTK Core release which is built on top of the OWL API 3.0.0. The goal is to have an initial set of plugins ported after the meeting. We'll also streamline the development and build process (e.g. using Subversion for source code management).

All plugin developers are invited to participate - the event will be both beneficial for seasoned NeOn plugin developers and those who recently joined. Developers from the NTK Core team will provide hands-on support.

The idea is to have time for to do collaborative computer programming, with API experts around which can help to solve issues directly. Also, developers have access to their peers for informal prototype hacking and integration testing.

Technical information about how to migrate is collected on the API Migration wiki page.

19. August - 20. August 2009 (date fixed, previous Doodle poll).

The meeting takes place in Room 253 at the top floor of AIFB, Building 11.40 on the main university campus (tram stop Kronenplatz/Universitaet).

The Best Western Queens Hotel has rooms available during the project meeting. Use booking code "UNI" to get the university rate. The hotel is a few tram stops away from the meeting venue.

There's also the ISWC 2008 hotels page. Karlsruhe has excellent public transportation, you should be able to reach the venue from any hotel in the city in a few minutes.

The ISWC 2008 travel page has information about how to get to Karlsruhe. Baden Airpark is closest, then Frankfurt/Main Airport, then Stuttgart Airport. There's also a RyanAir airport (Frankfurt Hahn) from which you can get to Karlsruhe via Bus to Heidelberg (1 1/2 hours) and then train to Karlsruhe (1 hour).
